Community/primary care nurses allow patients to receive care closer to home. This could be within their own home, a care home, or close to where they live, in clinics and GP practices. Often working without the direct support and resources of a hospital environment, this type of nursing is perfect for someone who wants to challenge themselves, while giving back to their community on the front line of healthcare. It offers flexibility regarding working hours, close-to-home employment opportunities and excellent professional development programmes, that will nurture your ambitions within community/primary care nursing.

Whilst this is a 2-year full time Nursing (Adult) program at University of West London, this creative, flexible delivery model enables you to balance your studies with other personal commitments.

The aim of this course is to equip you with the clinical skills and evidence-based knowledge you need to face the challenges of modern adult nursing.

You will learn how to:

provide, lead, and coordinate care that is compassionate, and evidence based
care for people with complex mental, physical, social, and behavioural needs
care for people in various healthcare settings
help promote health, protect health, and prevent ill health
care for people of different ages, backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs
care for people at the end of their life

be emotionally intelligent and resilient, while managing your personal health and wellbeing.
