Embry‑Riddle's Airworthiness Engineering program is accepted and recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Aircraft Certification Service (AIR), confirming that Designated Engineering Representative (DER) applicants and potential Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) engineering unit members who obtain this degree are awarded credit for one year of experience in addition to the already allowed four-year undergraduate credit.

This online graduate degree for students who already have a degree in a related engineering field features a curriculum that provides a favorable balance of practical and experience-based training using the most current techniques and tools available and is designed to be completed in 30 months.

Applicants must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, Math, OR an ABET accredited (EAC) Engineering degree; exceptions to this will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
EXCEPTIONS: Applicants who fail to satisfy the guidelines for full admission may be considered for conditional admission under circumstances determined by the Admissions Office or Program Chair. Applicants will be required to submit the following documentation in addition to official transcripts:
Resume outlining work experience, education, relevant activities or awards
Statement of Objective, to include:
A description of the applicant's reasons for wishing to do graduate work in the field chosen.
A description of the applicant's interests and background.
