It gives answers to the biggest and most complex development dilemmas which Slovenia must tackle: how to manage and develop the economy without increasing the negative impact on the environment and its natural resources, how to educate people to be able to think and act sustainably, and how to integrate the economic, social, and environmental aspects into a sustainable progress. With the proposed study programme, students are going to built experiential knowledge about the local environment in order to recognise and identify the physical and social geographic functions of the area in question, which serve as the development potential for geographical regions, and how (on the basis of the before mentioned functions) to plan, design, manage, and run development projects in local communities and regions sustainably. Moreover, they are also going to learn how to maintain and sustain the development in specific geographical regions with the involvement of local communities.Students acquire the following subject-specific competencies with the programme:
Year 1: 1st Semester
Year 1: 2nd Semester
Year 2: 3rd Semester
Year 2: 4th Semester
