About

The 2nd-cycle study programme in Sociology leads to "magisterij" (master's degree). It is implemented by the Faculty of Arts and its primary goal is to form students into individuals who are able to recognize the importance of knowledge and skills in a modern, pluralistic environment, especially within the context of Slovenia being a part of the EU and consequently increased cultural contacts.

Overview

The width of competence that the student develops though his studies increases his employability, while specific social knowledge is a prerequisite for a highly professional profile which can be employed in fields concerning sociology and other social sciences, politics, economy, anthropology, pedagogy, philosophy, informational sciences, social work, and work in government and non-government organizations. The main goal of the programe is to form an open, flexible, and knowledgeable profile, which is at the same time enough specialized and able to carry out specific tasks that are in demand on the market within any give moment.

    Based on the original amount of 2980 EUR per year and a duration of 24 months.

Tuition also applies to all Slovene/EU students who have already obtained an education corresponding to master’s degree.

Funding

Full-time students from Slovenia and other EU countries, and full-time students from non-EU countries who are granted international protection, applicants for international protection and persons from countries with which Slovenia has concluded bilateral agreement (i.e. North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, B&H, and Serbia) pay NO TUITION FEE (except the part for studying in English, if applicable) if they have not already obtained an education corresponding to master's degree.
