Programme Aims
This Occupational Psychology programme offered at the University of Leicester will equip you with an excellent level of knowledge and understanding of a broad range of topics in Occupational Psychology, including an appreciation of theory, an awareness of the strengths and limitations of research evidence, and how research can be used to help organisations and its employees. It also provides stage one towards the BPS Qualification in Occupational Psychology.
You will learn how to apply occupational psychology methodologies to solve real-life problems in organisations. Core psychological theories will be illustrated with the latest research and examples of practice. You will develop a range of applied skills including interviewing, evaluation and questionnaire design.The course uses an online teaching and learning system to create an interactive learning environment. Your learning materials are accessed completely online at any time of the day. Distance learning with the School of Psychology means studying in your own time on a part-time basis, so you can combine achieving a qualification with work or family commitments. You will benefit from our professionally created course syllabus that meets the needs of professionals working in the field. The course team consists of both academics and practitioners with a wide range of expertise across all areas of the subject.Accreditation
This MSc is fully accredited by the British Psychological Society. This means you can go on to stage 2 to become a Chartered Occupational Psychologist.
