Students of the Roads to Democracy(ies) master program acquire advanced theoretical knowledge and insights into comparative research methods in history and the social sciences.

Overview

The possibility of an integrated semester abroad at a partner university as well as joint web-based seminars and an international learning environment give students the opportunity to gain experience in international working groups and to experience intercultural exchange. The partner universities of the Roads to Democracy(ies) program degree offered by the University of Siegen are currently:

  • University of Bologna (Campus Forlí) in Italy, School of Political Sciences
  • University of Coimbra in Portugal ( Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Economics )
  • Uppsala University in Sweden ( Department of History )
  • University of Palermo in Italy ( International Relations )
The Erasmus + program supports your stay. There are no tuition fees to be paid at the respective locations. The semester abroad is not mandatory. The course can also be completed at the University of Siegen.

  • Development of research ideas for the potential master's project of the applicant in English ( including plagiarism declaration )
