Our Diploma in Education and Training (Level 5) meets the needs of trainee teachers and trainers, including individuals not currently teaching and training but who meet the practice requirements, those currently teaching and training (including those who have just begun teaching and training) and individuals currently working as assessors who wish to achieve a teaching qualification. All students must meet the practice requirements, including the observed and assessed practice, of the qualification.
The Diploma in Education and Training from Global Banking School will give students the opportunity to gain a wide range of education and teaching knowledge tied to practical skills gained through research, independent study, directed study and workplace scenarios. Students will gain specialist knowledge, employability, and transferable skills to further their career prospects.

General requirements
- A bachelor’s degree with a minimum classification of 2:2
- Written Assessment (500 words)
- Admissions Interview (8-10 minutes) – will need to demonstrate a keen interest in teaching and learning
- B2 CEFR level - IELTS at 6.0 minimum or an equivalent test. Minimum in each component 5.5. – BKSB is not acceptable.
- Students whose first language is not English but have a first degree from the UK need not present an IELTS test.
- Enhanced DBS Check - Students are required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check before they start the programme
- All candidates, whether pre-service or in-service must have access to 100 hours of teaching (volunteer teaching, paid / unpaid teaching, part time / full time teaching).
