It also addresses issues such as profitability and the law and how they are applied to health. Among the issues discussed are: a) markets and the factors of market failures in health, b) the mediation ratio and the possibility for health services providers to stimulate demand, c) the concept of uncertainty and the operation of health services insurance markets, d ) the nature of demand for health services and the reasons why there should be concern for other peoples health, e) methods for measuring and evaluating the benefits derived from health services and issues regarding the rationalization of health services.
Healthcare Systems Policy & Planning
This module is an introduction to the structural components of health systems and describes the policy tendencies of various health systems worldwide. The student is introduced to basic contexts of health systems analysis and acquires in-depth knowledge of the content and context of operation of an organized system of health services. More specifically, the following topics are dealt with: a) health systems, their aims and objectives, b) the structural components of a model health system, such as financing, central management and organizational structures, resources' allocation, the systems of payment of health services providers and the provision of health services, c) comparative presentation of health systems in different countries, d) a strategic planning of a health services organization, e) health services marketing, f) financial management of health services units.
Healthcare Organisations Management
The healthcare providers are among the most complex organizations. Their operation calls for the coexistence and cooperation of various types of professionals such as doctors, administrators, nurses, politicians in order to communicate and provide quality services to patients and their families. This module provides theoretical and practical knowledge and guidance to understand how an organization providing health services is organized and managed as well as the main challenges it has to address. Some of the issues addressed are: a) the operation of health services and health services demand management, b) patient handling services, c) peripatetic care, d) forms of medical organization, e) financial management, f) reimbursement of health services, g) quality management and redesign of health services and h) administration of drugs and stocks.
Human Resources Management

Corporate Policy & Strategy
In this module the corporation is studied from an international perspective and the value of alternative corporate strategies is analyzed. The policies of various companies (corporate policies) are mainly determined by their owners. These policies demonstrate ways of thinking and acting, biotheories, personalities, philosophies, temperaments, etc. The group engaged in the strategic management of a company (corporate strategy) has to be governed by a culture of optimism and to accurately analyze the environment so as to make the most of any opportunities. Students in the module will identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) in relation to a companys operations and the external environment, will be able to provide solutions to corporate problems they will identify and to emphasize the complexity of company planning and control; they will appreciate the application of theories to specific cases of companies. Within the framework of its Social Responsibility Programme, Mediterranean College, offers each year complete scholarships (up to 100% of tuition fees) to Institutions, Associations and Organisations.
The College applies a system of scholarships to all its prospective students. According to this, each candidate for undergraduate and postgraduate programs can receive a scholarship of between 400 and 2,000 euros. The criteria considered for awarding the scholarships are various: academic, professional, financial, social, athletic, etc.
The MC scholarship programme is available to all graduates of Universities/Colleges as well as to executives with experience. The application process is very simple and includes 3 stages:
