Overview
Mercer University's Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP) program is a specialized graduate program designed for nurses who wish to provide advanced care to acutely ill adult and geriatric patients. The program emphasizes the development of advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and decision-making skills necessary for success as an AG-ACNP.
Program Details
This program of study includes a minimum of 600 practicum hours; for practicum courses, the ratio of credit hours to clinical practice hours is 1:4. A student completing this track will be prepared to meet requirements to take the certification examination under the American Nurses Credentialing Center specific specialties and the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses examination for Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
