Overview
Overview
The course in Sports, Exercise and Nutrition at Writtle University College aims to develop an individual's academic expertise and personal employment potential providing a rigorous, balanced and stimulating education within the area of sports nutrition.
This new taught master's programme is suitable as a progression route from an appropriate undergraduate degree, or for those already working in industry that want to develop their knowledge. By delivering in a blended format, with a number of face to face on campus sessions (likely to be over 4 weekends and 2 full week sessions) alongside supported online sessions and independent learning, we aim to meet needs of a wide range of applicants.
Students may study this over 1 year (as a full time programme) or 2 years (as a part time programme).
Students will develop a deeper and critical understanding of the importance of nutrition and an ability to use this knowledge, critical understanding and skills to provide solutions to nutritional issues within sporting populations.
As part of the programme, students will access, evaluate and critique nutrition information from a variety of sources and will communicate the principles both orally and in the written form, in a way that is organised, relevant and recognises the limits of current hypotheses in the field.
Applications are welcomed from international students, noting that additional touchpoints will be put into place to ensure UKVI compliance.
