Overview

The core courses take a technological view on engineering management processes including organisation, research methodologies, business creation and optimisation. The degree programme offers students the possibility of choosing individual technological specialisations in close collaboration with companies in a spirit of problem-based learning.

The Technology Based Business Development programme from Aarhus University is carried out with a strong emphasis on practice, as it has a long tradition of ensuring a strong link between the theory that the students acquire on the programme and the practical challenges faced by  companies.

The Master’s degree programme in technology-based business development is now offered as a Master's degree programme for working professionals. The Master's degree programme for working professionals is a part-time programme aimed at people who work alongside their studies.

Graduates with an MSc in Engineering (Technology Based Business Development) are typically employed as innovation managers, technical sales managers, product managers, business developers or research and development project managers.

  • A Bachelor of Engineering from a university or school of applied sciences.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a specialisation in mechanical, chemical, electrical, electronic, construction, bioprocess, health technology or neuroscience engineering.
  • A Bachelor of Engineering with a specialisation in mechanics, production or exports, including a Bachelor of Business Development, BDE (enrolment from 1 Sept. 2019) and Global Management and Manufacturing (GMM) study programme at the Department of Business Development and Technology.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Physics, Geology, Geography, Bioscience, Nuclear, Biology and similar.
  • A Bachelor of Engineering in Global Business Engineering or a Professional Bachelor of Value Chain Management from VIA University College in Horsens, Denmark.
