Key Facts

This is probably the only department that has a state-of-art infrastructure including the Harvard style Virtual Class room. Founded in 1948, the Department is regarded as a prolific center of academic excellence and innovation in social science.

University of Mumbai's Department of Civics and Politics was established with the help of two Endowments namely the Mayor’s Sir Pherozeshah Mehta Centenary Commemoration Fund and the Montague Memorial Fund together with a donation from the Bombay Municipal Corporation’s Municipal Fund and a substantial recurring grant from the then Government of Bombay.

Only students having Bachelor Degree are eligible for Masters Admission.
