Careers
Mechanical Engineering graduates are well qualified to work in a wide range of companies in a variety of positions. Our recent graduates have generally found jobs in research & development or design & construction. In design teams, they take on the role of engineering specialist, integrator and they often serve as team leaders. A relatively high proportion of our graduates go on to manage other engineers in their first job.
The Master’s programme in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Twente offers students the opportunity to train specifically for one of these job categories. Skills-based learning is very much part of the University of Twente’s ethos.

- Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautics.

- Transcript of records and overview of the grading system
- CGPA of at least 75% of the maximum score, or your country's equivalent
- At least a score of 75% on the relevant subjects such as different Mathematic courses, Structural Dynamics, Heat & Flow, Thermodynamics, Materials, Statics & Strength of Materials, Production Methods and Machine Parts, Technical Design of Structures and Finite Element Methods
- English summary of thesis (BSc and/or MSc)
