Overview
Taught entirely in English, the Degree Programme in Digital Automation Engineering at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia - UNIMORE is structured in a common pathway in the first year and in three competence areas in the second year.
Key Features
- The common programme provides training in fundamental aspects of digital automation such as statistics and optimisation, artificial intelligence and data science, as well as the implementation and control aspects of robotics.
- The three competence profiles, “Digital Infrastructure”, “Digital Design” and “Digital Manufacturing”, apply digital automation engineering to specific contexts, such as the management of digital infrastructure, digital design techniques, and the digitisation of production systems.
- The programme provides the skills to face the challenges and opportunities of the digital revolution. Graduates will be able to manage the rapid evolution of automation engineering technologies, to deal with the applications of digital automation in Industry 4.0 scenarios and, in addition, to work in teams on complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- The great national and international excitement related to the promotion, development and adoption of digital technologies will provide significant career opportunities for graduates in Digital Automation Engineering, who will be able to head to leading companies in the development and use of digital systems, both in the production and service sectors.
- The programme is also an active part of the strategic development project of the Reggio Emilia digital district, supported by public administration, industry and research.
