About the program
The Graduate Certificate of Alcohol and Other Drugs Practice program from Charles Darwin University is designed to develop your understanding of contemporary issues surrounding alcohol and other drug use from social, political, health, psychological, physiological and legal perspectives. In addition, you will develop skills in assessment for substance misuse, motivational interviewing, treatment design and relapse prevention. This program delivers the latest evidence-based research through innovative subjects, to provide you with the skills necessary to navigate the complex and growing challenges faced in health and social services.

Successful completion of a recognised bachelor degree, graduate certificate, graduate diploma, master s degree or equivalent international qualification in a relevant field.
Applicants without a recognised bachelor degree or equivalent international qualification, but who have a minimum of four years' professional experience in a relevant health or allied health related discipline, will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Applicants must provide further documentation in the form of a curriculum vitae (CV) with their application.
