Orthopaedics Surgery is the surgical specialty at Makerere University for the diagnosis and treatment of injuries, diseases, and congenital deformities of the musculoskeletal system.

Areas of study include:

  • Orthopaedics therefore is concerned with disorders of the bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and nerves. It includes diseases of the upper limb, lower limb, vertebral column and bony pelvis.
