Overview
The standard period of study for the Information Science master’s degree from Humboldt University Berlin is four semesters. The Master's program is divided into a study phase and a final phase.
Study goals and career prospects
In order to meet the Institute for Library and Information Science's claim of developing or further developing theories, procedures and methods of information science and practice, research in this field should be initiated more intensively and young scientists should be promoted.
Possible fields of application for the graduates are e.g. B. Special libraries, media archives, publishers or at information service providers or in the information economy.

General requirements
- For the Information Science master's program you must submit knowledge of the German language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or higher (certificate) or provide proof of passing the Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache für Studienbewerber (TestDaF) with a score of TDN 3 in all four parts of the exam AND for the English language at level B2.
