Studied in Greenwich and New Zealand, our unique MSc Finance and Investment (DUAL Award, Greenwich and New Zealand) at University of Greenwich has a strong focus on developing the analytical skills needed in the finance industry.



This 15-month MSc Finance and Investment (DUAL Award, Greenwich and New Zealand) at University of Greenwich is studied from September to January at Greenwich, from February to June at Massey University, New Zealand, and then completed (July to November) at the institution of your choice. Graduates receive master's degree awards from both institutions.

You will study finance fundamentals, financial markets, financial econometrics, advanced investment analysis and advanced financial risk management. You will also carry out a research project focusing on data analysis of financial markets. Graduates will be equipped to achieve Level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification.

General requirements

  • You should have a relevant/numerate undergraduate degree at 2:1 or above, or equivalent qualification, from a recognised university or higher education institute.
  • If you were educated in a language other than English and/or in a country where English speakers are in a minority, you should have a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each skill) or equivalent.
  • If you require a Tier 4 (General) student visa to study in the UK, your score must be from a UK Visas and Immigration approved IELTS test.
  • Alternatively, students with an overall IELTS of 5.5 or 6.0 can study our Pre-Sessional English language programme prior to degree studies.
