It focuses on enabling technologies and cross-sector technologies that are used across many different areas, including mobile radio networks, long term evolution, wireless systems, smart phone apps, digital transmission systems, digital broadcasting, cloud computing, big data, smart homes, smart grids, Internet applications, network technology, IT security, software defined networking, network function virtualization, voice over IP, and unified communications. 

The degree program is intended for graduates of technical UAS and university degree programs. 

Students learn to:

  • Plan and simulate network architectures
  • Configure network components
  • Plan protocol sequences for telecommunications systems and implement protocol stacks
  • Plan hardware and software for the realization of telecommunications systems, network infrastructure, and telecommunications and Internet services taking usability into account as well as to manage projects

IELTS admission requirements IELTS The International English Language Test System (IELTS) tests your English-language proficiency on a scale of 1 – 9. The score refers to the combined average score of 4 subjects (writing, listening, speaking, and reading).
PTE Academic admission requirements PTE Academic PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) is a language test that enables students to demonstrate their writing, listening, speaking, and reading skills when applying to study in English. The score refers to a total score which ranges between 10 and 90.

General requirements

You must meet subject-matter requirements to be admitted to the Information Systems Management master’s degree program. Prerequisites include a bachelor’s degree from a UAS in a relevant subject matter or an equivalent degree from a recognized post-secondary educational institution (at least 180 ECTS credits) in Austria or another country. If basic equivalence has been established except for a few missing prerequisites, the program director can require students to take exams to establish full equivalence. These exams are taken during the master’s program.
