  • Develop your knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum
  • Ensure your teaching fulfils the requirements set out by the government
  • Embrace areas of learning and principles of best practice in early primary education across all subjects
  • Focus on developing your skill in teaching mathematics, English and science at both key stages
  • Put your theoretical knowledge into practice by completing three teaching placements in the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1
  • Develop your teaching skills across different age ranges to help prepare for future employment
  • Learn how to develop children's abilities through playful learning and creative teaching
  • Reflect on how teaching methods and opportunities and environments can influence outcomes

Successful completion of the course will lead to the recommendation of Qualified Teacher Status.
