Overview
Become a specialized creative professional in visual effects and video editing
During the Visual Effects and Editing for Contemporary Media program of Fanshawe College, you will learn the theory of digital technology and become proficient in using software for video editing, audio editing, motion graphics, 3D animation, compositing and visual effects. You’ll emerge from the program with the technical skills, knowledge and practical tools for a career in advanced post-production.
Apply your knowledge, get practical experience and make business connections through an internship within the post-production industry. As well, your portfolio will be expanded and developed throughout the program so you’ll graduate with a professional demo reel to show potential employers your creativity and innovation.
For students interested in studying further, Brock University and Fanshawe College have developed an articulation agreement, which gives you the opportunity to obtain a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies, as well as a graduate certificate in Visual Effects and Editing for Contemporary Media. Students may start at either institution and receive credit transfer, graduating with both a degree and graduate certificate in only four years.Programme Structure
