Overview

The students in the Computer Science and Information Engineering program at National Taipei University of Technology are required to take 8 technical graduate level courses in addition to graduate seminar courses. Every student needs to take one of the following two courses: Pattern-oriented Software Design or Communication Software Design to enhance the object-oriented programming skills. The M.S. thesis is mandatory to partially fulfill the M.S. graduation requirements.

CSIE at Taipei Tech is distinguished for its research activities. The research grant comes from a variety of sources including MOST and other governmental institutes or enterprises. We focus on the application-oriented research exploration and technology advancement, system design methodologies and practical implementation experiences, as well as collaborations and joint projects with industry. Three major research areas include Software systems, Multimedia systems, and Network systems. In addition, the state-of-the-art research topics such as Big data analysis, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud computing, Internet of Things (IOT), Augmented/ Virtual Reality (AR/VR) and Bioinformatics are also actively explored.
