Overview
On this course, tailor your expertise in finance and money management through a study of the capstones of global financial theory alongside key management theories and practices. You can choose subject areas across both finance and management studies that complement your personal career goals including topical areas such as Corporate Responsibility and Financial Regulation. With our industry connections, put academic teachings from our expert staff into practice through regular enterprise challenges and company visits.
You also have access to our ASPIRE centre, a purpose-built entrepreneurial lab where you can develop, plan and launch your own start-up business.
Quants workshop
Kent Business School offers an optional one and half week refresher workshop in Mathematics, Statistics and Excel, prior to the start of this programme.
Industrial Placement
This course is available with the option to undertake an industrial placement ranging from 3 – 12 months depending upon your visa requirements (if applicable), allowing you to gain work experience in the UK or overseas. This option is also available for students wishing to undertake a self-employed placement, or ‘SELFIE’ as it is also known.
While the placements are self-sought, The School offers support to those students seeking an industrial placement, through extra-curricular engagement with our dedicated placements team.
Students considering this option should be aware that they will be required to complete all stage 1 and 2 modules and that there may be additional costs in terms of accommodation, for example.
