
Overview
The Integrated Product Development course from University of Malta blends together these topics and even allows the candidate an element of specialization or focus in any one of these two pillars within the program itself. You may opt to either follow a Postgraduate Diploma or a Masters’ degree in the topic of Integrated Product Development.
The course is built on the two aforesaid pillars, or areas, that are essential for the achievement of success in the manufacturing industry.
You will benefit from taught study-units which characterise the first two years of the course. In each semester of these two years, you will have three study-units, each worth 5ECTS. In the final year, you will have the opportunity to enhance and apply the knowledge and skills that they have gained in the first two years, in a project worth 30ECTS.

As a graduate of the M.Sc. IPD programme, you will have gained knowledge on different facets of product development, and you will be in a better position to advance in your professional career, in particular in managerial positions in industry requiring high level of multidisciplinary technical expertise. The Course shall be open to applicants in possession of:
- the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree with at least Second Class Honours or
- the Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree with at least Second Class Honours in appropriate areas of study as approved by the Board or
- a qualification deemed by Senate, on the recommendation of the Board, to be equivalent to either of the above.
