Overview
All areas relating to libraries, archives, other forms of information-providing institutions and related issues are considered as topics for research in this Knowledge and Information Management programme at the University of Malta .
The expected outcomes are twofold, namely the acquisition by the student of the required research skills and the experience in undertaking research at a postgraduate level. The research carried out would, in turn, provide useful in furthering one’s understanding of particular issues related to the researched area. Thus, research into the more vital venues and in areas as yet unexplored is highly encouraged.
Career opportunities
The Masters programme would enable the successful candidate to apply for professional-level positions with state and private entities where library, archive and information management positions are concerned. Other areas may include IT-related positions and museums-related ones.
