About this faculty

It enjoys the services of a professional, technical and administrative staff as well as an influential academic staff in the area of educational sciences and psychology. The faculty also offers counseling and psychotherapeutic services to the public via the university’s counseling and psychological centers. The faculty is comprised of four separate departments: department of educational sciences, department of psychology, department of counseling, and department of knowledge and information sciences. Benefiting from experienced faculty and professors of the department in the field of psychology and counseling, this center has been teaching clinical courses and providing internships for students. The main aims of the center are to help promote SBU students’ mental health and develop the various fields of psychology and counseling such as clinical psychology, child and adolescent clinical psychology, educational psychology, and exceptional children.
