About this faculty

The faculty has specialized laboratories for conducting research. These include sports physiology laboratory, behavior and motor control laboratory, laboratory of pathology and corrective exercises and molecular & cellular laboratory. Sports physiology laboratory is equipped with advanced features enabling the department to carry out specialized research in health-related issues at cellular and molecular levels. The purpose of training these professional people is improving the quality and quantity of human movement behavior in general, and in sports fields in particular. Physical education students in the fields of sports physiology are familiar with the following topics: Sports and environment physiology (altitude, heat, deep-sea), Energy and metabolic needs of exercise (exercise metabolism), Neuromuscular move control, Short and long-term compatibility of the heart and respiration with sports, Short and long-term hormonal compatibility with sports, Compatibility of the growth period with sports, Nutrition and exercise, Exercise science, Sports medicine, Clinical physiology.
