About the faculty
This faculty possesses its own library with a total of 20280 books, classrooms and conference rooms, and specific facilities for PhD students. This faculty consists of nine departments: private law, criminology and criminal law, public and international law, Islamic law, human rights, intellectual property, international commercial law, environment law, and economics law. The UNESCO Chair for human rights, peace and democracy (UNESCO CHRPD) of SBU started its activities in 1997 and officially opened in 2000 following an agreement between UNESCO and SBU.
