Overview
The curriculum of the Curriculum and Instruction program from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University is designed to provide educators with online courses that are structured to ensure that future candidates will study the philosophical and theoretical foundations of curriculum development while gaining an understanding of instructional strategies that best address the needs of a diverse student population in the following specific content areas:

The program includes three areas of concentration:
- Specialization in Instruction, Learning and Assessment, or

The program is uniquely designed to meet the needs of individuals with a variety of career goals that range from those who wish to serve as curriculum generalists or specialists, district curriculum coordinators, school administrators, and classroom teachers to those interested in serving as non-school based curriculum designers or curriculum evaluators.

General requirements
- Applicants must have an earned bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale covering the last 60 credit hours or 90 quarter hours (whichever one is applicable) of undergraduate study
- Applicants must have a minimum combined score of 283 from the quantitative and verbal sections of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
- Applicants must submit three (3) professional letters of reference (i.e. from former professors or employers) addressing the applicant’s ability to succeed in a graduate program
- Applicants must submit a personal statement
- The Graduate Admissions Office requires all applicants to use the online application portal.
- Applicants must submit official copies of all undergraduate and graduate transcripts
