Overview
Key Features
The Medical Sciences (by thesis) programme from University of York gives you an opportunity to conduct an independent research project. You can work in a wide range of areas. Our current students are researching topics as diverse as cardiac function in high-risk surgical patients, enteral nutrition for pre-term infants, the correlation of vitamin D with genotype in populations, interprofessional health education, the identification and management of delirium in palliative care, and dental evolution in humans.
Throughout your degree, you will be supervised by a leading expert in the field and supported by a Hull York Medical School Thesis Advisory Panel.
The MSc by thesis is offered either full-time for one year or part-time for two years. If you have fewer than about 35 hours a week to devote to your studies, you should consider studying part-time. Part-time study is at least 17.5 hours per week.
