The faculty comprises four departments: civil engineering, water and wastewater engineering, water resources engineering and environmental engineering; it has 40 professors, 12 laboratory units, and 4  workshops. The faculty concentrates its research efforts on quantitative and analytical approaches, novel, experimentally based modeling; and the development and use of tools such as information technology, and advanced computing applied to problems in the natural and built environments. The faculty enjoying modern technical and training facilities, offers short courses to the experts of the industries to keep them up to date in their jobs. The content of the courses is designed in such a way to cover technical information and experiences required as the real qualification for industrial professions.
