It consists of research methods, plus a selection from independent prescribing (with specific regulations), leadership and management, or a portfolio of specialist practice.
What you should know about this course
This is a truly innovative programme in enhanced professional practice, that you can access with prior 60 credits of appropriate learning / direct entry to year 2
This course maps across to HEE’s requirements for enhanced practice, a precursor to studying the Advanced Clinical Practice pathway
It is open to non-clinical professionals, e.g. health promotion, commissioning, welfare, social care etc.
The 120 credits can be used towards the final 60 further credits, for the top up MA Health Care Practice
The second year is identical to the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice, thus enabling students to move sideways onto that programme and be exempt from repeating the middle year
