Overview
Key facts:
- The field of Bioengineering has undergone a remarkable development in recent decades, making it necessary to integrate different skills, to address issues ranging from genomics to nanotechnologies, from clinical engineering to biorobotics, to neuroengineering and rehabilitation techniques. It is therefore necessary for a Bioengineer to possess a set of skills that allow him to subsequently deepen the various fields of application.
- The course of study at the Roma Tre University therefore includes a substantial core of common teachings in the field of Biomedical Engineering, and disciplines that find application in the biomedical sciences. This set of teachings is accompanied by the presence of courses that allow undergraduates to deepen their skills in the areas of engineering and its applications in the biomedical field. In order to encourage language training of skills in this area, in addition to the full provision in English, agreements have been signed with foreign universities, aimed at the use of teachers from these institutions for the provision of a subset of the courses provided.
- Internship activities are foreseen for all students in the laboratories of the Department, or in external bodies or companies at national or international level, where it is also possible to carry out the final test work.
