Key facts

In University of Miami's Teaching program, students complete courses required to pursue music teaching certification in the state of Florida. Following graduation, alumni can then apply for a Temporary Certificate and seek a teaching position in a Florida school. through the State of Florida. After completing one year of supervised teaching completing a Professional Development Certification Program, and passing certification examinations, individuals can apply to the Florida Department of Education for a Professional Certificate. Job placement has been consistently strong for graduates seeking positions in schools.
