Overview
The Optics and Vision Programme from University of Crete focuses on the study of vision and optics and aims to enrich the students' knowledge in the fields of
- visual optics,
- anatomy and physiology of vision and visual pathways,
- advanced optics and material technologies,
- application of mathematics in the field of optics and vision,
- application of physics in the field of optics and vision
- biostatistics
Programme's aim
The aim of the Programme is to train new talented scientists coming from an array of different disciplines in order to become executives with a high level of training, able to pursue careers in companies that design, develop or maintain equipment in the fields of vision science, in hospitals, medical centers, as well as in Universities and Research Centers as scientific, technical and research staff.

- Application Form
- Copy of the basic Degree. Applicants that hold a BSc or MD degree from a non-Greek
- University should also submit a certificate of equivalence and/or correspondence of these degrees from the National Academic Recognition Information Center (DOATAP) of Greece upon registration
- Transcript of Grades
- Diploma Supplement (if available)
- Proof of competence and fluency in the English language of level B2 or higher (according to the Council of Europe)
- Two (2) Recommendation Letters
- A scanned copy of the candidate’s identification card or passport
- Two recent passport-size photographs
