Overview

About this Degree

Longer life expectancy is resulting in a greater proportion of elderly patients requiring masticatory organ care which meets their specific needs – care which greatly improves their quality of life.

The number of patients with functional disorders is steadily increasing, making the provision of comprehensive training in diagnostic and treatment methods a health care policy priority. Interdisciplinary diagnosis and treatment of functional disorders forms an important part of the curriculum of this course.

Prosthodontics - Interdisciplinary Therapy Concepts graduates of the course from the Medical University of Vienna will possess practical expertise in the areas of ceramic restoration, telescopic prostheses, implant prostheses and functional disorder diagnosis, so that they are able to independently carry out complex case planning and successfully resolve complicated dental prosthetics cases requiring interdisciplinary intervention.
