About the Program

Physics is a science that investigates the fundamental principles of the properties and phenomena of various substances in nature and proves them experimentally. Accordingly, the study of the interaction between the smallest elementary particles, the study of the forces and phenomena constituting the nucleus, the study of quantum mechanical properties of atoms, the basic and statistical studies of the phenomenon of condensed matter composed of atoms, optical science, and nonlinear life phenomena The study covers all natural phenomena, from the study of physics that explain the universe to the study of the physics of the early universe.

Accordingly, the Department of Physics at Korea University is composed of professors who conduct a wide range of research from particle and nuclear physics, atomic physics, condensed matter physics, statistical physics, optical science, nonlinear and biophysics, and cosmology.

The applicant must complete regular primary and secondary education, equivalent to Grades 1 to 12 in the Korean education system, either in Korea or overseas.

Completion of qualification examinations and programs such as GED, homeschooling, online courses, or language schools, and so on from the level of primary, secondary to higher education are not regarded as equivalent to a regular academic school curriculum.
