Upon successful completion of this master's degree, students might be interested in the following job positions.

  • Data Analytics Consultant

The role of a data analytics consultant involves translating numerical data into a more accessible, comprehensible form. Data analytics consultants work with data sets and models in order to derive meaningful insights and solve problems, combining analytical acumen with business expertise to deliver the most relevant solutions possible.

Data analytics consultants should possess exceptional critical thinking skills and data visualization abilities. Problem-solving acumen and effective communication skills are also valuable in this role.

  • Operations Analyst

Operations analysts are primarily responsible for identifying inadequacies in business models and operations. Once these flaws have been identified, operations analysts will then carry out research, investigate workflows, and recommend changes, while also conducting internal audits.

Analytical skills are essential in this career, as problem-solving is the operations analyst’s main task. Due to the multidisciplinary nature of their work, analysts must also be able to work effectively as part of a team and communicate information clearly and concisely.

  • Data Scientist

A data scientist collects information such as usage statistics and analyzes it to better understand how a business performs and to advise the business based on those metrics. Data scientists also build artificial intelligence tools that automate certain business processes.

Data extraction, transformation, and visualization are all essential skills for data scientists. They also require a thorough knowledge of math, particularly statistics, and further benefit from fluency in one or more programming languages.

  • Financial Risk Manager

A financial risk manager identifies and analyzes threats to assets, earning capacity, or the success of any given business. They can work in various industries, including sales, marketing, financial services, and more. Many financial risk managers specialize in business-focused areas such as credit or market risk.

Financial risk managers should possess a comprehensive knowledge of finance, effective communication skills, and solid analytical thinking abilities. Finance modeling and statistics are also highly valued in candidates seeking this position.
