The College of Health Sciences is a multi-professional institution spread across four of the five campuses of the University of KwaZulu-Natal. At University of Kwazulu Natal we offer a master degree in Family Medicine.

Programme Structure
- Scholars will be lectured to and mentored by recognized experts in their field and clinical experience will be provided at a range of healthcare sites within KwaZulu-Natal.
- Successful completion of the degree will lead to fellowship with an appropriate college within the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa, registration as a specialist with the HPCSA and prepares the candidate to engage in research activities as a supervisor, become a research collaborator or enroll for a doctoral degree.

- An appropriate Bachelor's degree OR
- Admission to the status of that degree in terms of Rule GR7 (a) OR
- Attained a level of competence as defined by rule GR7 (b)
- A School/College may prescribe further criteria for admission to study. Consult College Handbooks.
- Some Schools/College may accept and Advanced Diploma for entry into a Postgraduate Diploma if HEQF (Higher Education Qualification Framework) requirements are met.
