Overview
On this Global Business Management course at the University of East Anglia you can design your own journey with a global perspective in mind. You’ll have the freedom and flexibility to follow your interests right from semester one. And if you aren’t sure what your interests are just yet, don’t worry, you’ll have lots of opportunities to discover them! In your first semester you will begin by discovering the essentials of the area you are interested in. There is a wide choice of modules to get you started in marketing, accounting, finance, operations, logistics, human resources, organisational behaviour, entrepreneurship, business creation and branding.
You’ll learn from leading academics and practitioners in each field, immersing yourself in aspects of business you are interested in, learning and developing awareness of a diverse range of business issues. You’ll study alongside students from these different specialisms too, and from all over the world, making for a true melting pot of ideas. This semester is all about exploring the different areas of business, discovering their key components, uncovering your interests and talents, and laying the foundation for deeper study and specialisation later in the course.
Careers
- You could go on to any number of business disciplines, or choose to combine them all by working in general or (eventually) senior management, by starting your own business, or by returning to your family business. A significant number of graduates from all our courses go on to win coveted places on the management training graduate schemes of large multinational corporations.
- There is a focus on employability on each module and on preparing you for your future career throughout the course. You’ll also be able to take part in our annual Employability Week. Here you’ll be able to hear from all sorts of industry experts, including NBS alumni, about how they built their careers.
