Programme Outcomes (POs)

At the end of the Artificial Intelligence MTech programme offered at National Institute of Technology Silchar a student is expected to have:
  • Understanding of theoretical foundations of computing and, modelling and design of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems.
  • Recognition and analysis of ML based AI problems along with their ethical implications.
  • Application of ML techniques to solve real world problems from various domains such as healthcare, social computing, economics, etc.
  • Ability to use advanced computing techniques and tools of AI and ML to design, implement, and evaluate secure hardware and/or software systems with assured quality and efficiency.
  • Ability to explore contemporary research issues and gaps, and to propose original ideas and solutions in AI and ML.
  • Ability to communicate with customers or peers in an impressive and professional manner, in written and oral forms.
  • Ability to learn lifelong independently through continuing education and research.
  • Ability to become a complete professional with high integrity and ethics, with excellent professional conduct and with empathy towards the environmental and social needs.

Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs):

  • Identification and solving of complex AI and ML problems using latest hardware and software tools and technologies.
  • Imparting the concepts of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Deep Learning Artificial Neural Networks, Image Processing, Big Data Analysis etc. in the design and development of intelligent expert systems.
  • Ability to define a new problem, and design, model, analyse, evaluate the solution and report as a dissertation in the area of AI and ML.

  • Admissions to the Regular (Full-time) M.Tech. Programs are made on the basis of seats allocated by the Centralized Counselling for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. Admission (CCMT).
  • The Centralized Counseling for M.Tech./ M.Arch./ M.Plan./M.Des. (CCMT-2021) is a convenient platform for the candidates to apply for M.Tech./ M.Arch./ M.Plan./M.Des. programmes, based on their GATE score of years 2019, 2020 and 2021 in all NITs, IIEST Shibpur, some IIITs & GFTIs  (For details, please refer the list of Participating Institutes).
  • The Centralized counseling has provided a system wherein the candidates can fill single online application form as well as upload the necessary documents from their places and apply to all the aforementioned programmes in all the participating institutions to which they are eligible. For all guidelines, the prospective candidates are advised to carefully read the information brochure and various other documents given in this website.
