Overview
Degree Programme
The Clinical Psychosexology program of the Sapienza University of Rome, in short, has the task to train, for the first time in the Italian university system, clinical psychologists and sexologists. The graduated student, in particular, will have specific competences in managing the individual, the dyad, the family, up to the social and cultural macro area.
In the labour market, the graduated student will be able to provide psychosexological counselling in the following specific areas:- Family Counselling Centres;
- Medically Assisted Procreation Centres;
- Psychiatry, Oncology, Gynaecology, Andrology, Endocrinology’s centres;
- Outpatient Clinics dedicated to sexually transmitted infections;
- Centres for Diagnosis and Treatment for Identity Gender Dysphoria;
- Civil and criminal courts (Appraisals)
- Prisons (Criminal Paraphilias)
- Compulsory and secondary schools (Course of Sexual Education, Feelings and Respect for gender differences and orientation).

- Clinical psychology of sexual development in the lifespan
- Theory and techniques of clinical counseling
- Psychoendocrinology and medical sexology
- Theory and psychodynamic models
- Psychopathology of sexual behavior
- Psychometry and psychometric evaluation of quality of life

- Bachelor’s or single-cycle degree (old academic system) in Psychology or any other title of study got abroad, deemed as being equivalent to the bachelor’s degree in Psychology;
- Advanced knowledge of the English language (equal at least to a B-2 level)
