The innovative Engineering Science - Nanoelectronics program of the University at Buffalo is designed to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to develop application specific data and electronic systems from basic building blocks implemented in nanoelectronics, to complex systems consisting of both software and hardware for demanding signal processing and control.

Engineering Sciences MS (Focus on Nanoelectronics)

Specifically, students will develop knowledge and understanding of the microtechnology and nanotechnology aspects of electronic engineering and their application in micro and nanoscale devices.

Potential careers in this important area involve some of the giants of the U.S. high-tech sector, including Apple, IBM, Google, Intel, Microsoft, Qualcom, Micron, and Analog Devices, Inc. Specific careers include integrated-circuit design, process and device engineering, and research and development for future technology generations. This degree furthermore serves as the prerequisite for admission to appropriate doctoral programs, in both engineering and the sciences.
