This Mathematics Education unique programme at Jamia Millia Islamia aims to provide students new opportunities for learning and innovation in trans disciplinary and trans institutional environment beyond rigid institutional boundaries.
Key Features
- The Meta University idea was envisioned by the National Knowledge Commission (2009). In 2013, DU and JMI joined hands to start MME Meta programme as per the approval of the UGC. Mathematics education is an area of concern across the world.
Programme Structure
- The students of the programme attend courses at CIC DU and AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, JMI.
- The admission process, evaluation and assessment process is coordinated between DU and JMI following their respective Ordinances and Statutes. A Joint Degree is awarded to the students on completion of the programme.
- The students with joint MME degree are eligible for appearing in NET (Education) and for pursuing higher education in relevant descipline.
