Illinois Institute of Technology’s Master of Science in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering dual-degree program prepares students for advanced study, and careers in computer and electrical engineering. Our program provides a strong foundation in all aspects of the design and development of computer systems, in addition to offering several areas of study within electrical engineering.

Overview

Students at the Illinois Institute of Technology will be introduced to key topics within the computer engineering field, such as computer hardware design, computer networks, and software engineering. General requirements

  • Illinois Tech requires a four-year bachelor’s degree conferred with a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0/4.0 (or its equivalent) from an accredited institution for regular admission.

  • Academic requirements: GPA of at least 3.0.
  • GMAT or GRE is required: GRE/GMAT is required, apart from Master of Public Administration. 
  • Personal Statement required
  • Letter of Recommendation is suggested, but not required
  • ACT Composite: 27+ (Must have 27+ in Math)
  • SAT Composite: 1240+ (Must have 630+ in Math)
