Overview
The Social Policy programme from University of the West of Scotland, identifies a range of current key issues in social welfare and social policy. Adopting a comparative approach to both policy and practice, it addresses the history and development of welfare systems and how this impacts on social policy practices.
It considers a range of theoretical frameworks for understanding welfare including exploring the shifting notions of welfare in the era of neoliberal globalisation.
