The education goal of the Stomatology programme from China Medical University is to cultivate caring, excellent and responsible dentists and professionals with comprehensive knowledge and superb clinical skills. 


The School of Dentistry (CMUD) was established in 1980. As a highly acclaimed professional resource for dental education in the nation and the latest provider of oral health care services in the central Taiwan area, CMUD is dedicated to combining higher education and research with community service.

Future Prospects for Graduates

Students graduating from university have to pass the National Board Examination, followed by mandatory two-year post-graduate medical training before they go to private sector for clinical service as general practitioners.

Students can pursue advanced training for

  • master degree alone (at least two years) for basic or clinical research.
  • master degree in conjunction with residency for specialty training(at least 3 years) in the hospital.
  • Ph.D. training for independent research.

  • Well established biomechanical biomaterials studies for dental implants and orthodontics.
  • Digital workflow embedded in fixed prosthodontics teaching.

  • Development of AR/VR assisted teaching environment
