About the programme

This Biological Sciences program from University of Tsukuba, consist of 8 research fields, Taxonomy and Evolution, Ecology, Plant development and physiology, Animal development and physiology, Molecular cell biology, Genome bioinformatics, Advanced cell biology, Advanced molecular biology.

Each of the eight fields is not independent, and we promote research and education while complementing each other.

We also have an education system in collaboration with other research institutions (RIKEN, AIST, NIAS, NIID, and Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Medical Science, etc.) Several professors in our program belong to these research institutions, and can accept students.
