Course Details
The Electrical Engineering and Computer Science MSc/MASc program at York University offers a research intensive, well supported, congenial environment for a select group of graduate students. We offer studies leading to the degrees of Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science (including a non-thesis, project-based specialization in Artificial Intelligence), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science as well as Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering. These degree programs consist of courses and research conducted under faculty member supervision. Our internship program offers a combination of industrial and academic experience for students.
Our Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science also runs, jointly with the Department of Computational Arts, a Graduate Program in Digital Media, offering studies leading to the degrees of Master of Arts (M.A.), Master of Science (M.Sc.), and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Digital Media. The program provides the opportunity to do specialised hybrid research work uniquely combining computational science and artistic practices. Work in digital media focuses on a broad range of current and emerging forms of digitally supported media, with applications that range from computer games to interactive art.
