Overview
Key facts:
- The Historical Archaeology programme at the University of Iceland Unlike other historical archaeology programs, doesn't divide history into the medieval, post-medieval and contemporary but focus on the long-term;
- The program traverses the medieval to modern, looking at continuities and discontinuities with a special emphasis on Northern Europe and the North Atlantic.
- In your studies, you will learn how to investigate both written sources and material culture, understanding the ways they work together and in tension to produce a richer and deeper appreciation of our past.
